Sprint Nextel to Acquire U.S. Cellular Spectrum

Sprint Nextel Corp. has agreed to acquire United States Cellular Corp. PCS (personal communications service) spectrum in parts of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio, including the Chicago and St. Louis markets, for $480 million in cash and the assumption of Certain liabilities, the companies announced Nov. 7.
