Vermont AG: Carriers To Stop Premium Text Fees

Vermont Attorney General William Sorrell (D.) has announced that AT&T Mobility, Sprint Corp., and T-Mobile US, Inc., will no longer charge customers for premium text messages, which account for the majority of third-party charges on cellphones and for most of "cramming" complaints. Mr. Sorrell said Nov. 21 that Vermont led 45 states in discussions with wireless carriers aimed at stopping mobile phone cramming.
