The FCC's Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council (CSRIC) reviewed an ambitious work plan at its first meeting under its new charter Sept. 12, and acting FCC Chairwoman Mignon L. Clyburn highlighted several issues the group will address, including the transition to next-generation 911, wireless emergency alerts, and infrastructure sharing by providers during emergencies. "You've got your work cut out for you," Ms. Clyburn told the CSRIC in opening remarks at the meeting, noting the full agenda ahead and the myriad of issues CSRIC Ⅲtackled under its charter, including cybersecurity matters and indoor 911 location accuracy. Several of the working groups of CSRIC Ⅳ will build upon the work of its predecessors, including those concerning cyber and 911 issues.
