Senators Query Google, Twitter, AT&T, Verizon on Ad Bid Data

A bipartisan group of six senators led by Sen. Ron Wyden (D., Ore.) has asked Google LLC, Twitter, Inc., AT&T, Inc., Verizon Communications, Inc., and four other operators of auction services for online advertising space whether and to whom they provide bidstream data-data about potential recipients of ads, including device identifiers, location data, and demographic data such as age and gender-that are given to potential bidders in advertising auctions.
