FCC's 4.9 GHz Band Regime Modified Over Democratic, Public Safety Objections

The FCC voted 3-2 on Sept. 30 to modify its framework for the 4940-4990 megahertz band over the objections of Democratic Commissioners Geoffrey Starks and Jessica Rosenworcel and public safety entities, which complained that the new regime would hinder the ability of first responders to use the frequencies.
