FCC Chairman Ajit Pai told smaller cable TV system operators and broadband service providers at the ACA Summit in Washington on March 21 that he appreciates their efforts and risk-taking in deploying "broadband to thousands [and] millions of people across the country," and that he believes the Commission should make that task easier by lowering unnecessary and outmoded regulatory barriers and encouraging them to participate in reverse auctions to award high-cost support to deploy broadband to unserved areas.
