From long flights to time away from the family, there are plenty of reasons not to enjoy business travel. But on the plus side, the onward march of technology is making life easier all the time. Rather than having to seek out a taxi rank in the pouring rain, business execs can now hail a cab from their smartphone. According to the GBTA Global Business Traveler Sentiment Index™, in partnership with American Express, 22% of UK business travellers said they were likely to use an app-based private car service, such as Uber or Lyft, during a work trip in the next year.
