Sprint Forms New Wireline Unit

Sprint formed a new wireline business unit to converge voice, video and data networks to a common IP core, and help businesses easily transition to these IP-based services, the carrier announced Oct. 1. Sprint currently offers managed services products such as IP-based WAN, Compass and Sprint Secure Message Protection, and plans to introduce more in the next year, the company says.
