The emergence of new telecoms services and the ongoing development of existing ones has drastically changed the requirements for transport networks, which have been forced to rapidly evolve to keep up with new service initiatives. In a two-part series, Huawei Technologies outlines how multi-service transport platforms help operators address the issues brought about by the advent of four types of transport network services. The October issue covered data private-line services and broadband access, while this issue features two additional transport network services: NGN and 3G.
