摘要

Broadcasters that carry major network programming and produce high-quality local programming in HD probably aren't interested in giving up spectrum -- but other operators might see the discussions about reclaiming some of the TV band for mobile broadband use as a way to cash out, CEO Vincent Sadusky of LIN TV told investors. "A non-affiliated TV station that doesn't produce any local programming ... that could be a windfall for those folks," he said. Broadcasters don't all have the same point of view, Sadusky said. "There is a huge distinction between the full service groups that are utilizing all their bandwidth ... versus others that have obtained it and not really maximized it," he said. "I think there's going to be different views depending on the broadcaster that currently has license to the spectrum." The reuse of TV airwaves is probably far off, Sadusky said. The government can turn to many other sources first, he said
