The FCC should "extend to incumbent local exchange carriers the protections in Section 224nof just and reasonable pole attachment rates, terms and conditions," AT&T said in an ex partenfiling. The commission has "expansive authority to prescribe pole attachment rates in order tonpromote broadband deployment." The telco said it's concerned about industry practices ofnincreasing the number of attachments on a pole through the use of extension arms andnboxing. The FCC should "view these types of attachment practices as the exception rathernthan the rule" and limit their use, AT&T said.
