FCC to Consider Experimental Licensing for Medical Research

FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski said he'll propose that the commission expandnexperimental licensing rules for medical and other research. "This will reduce regulatorynbarriers, cut red tape, and speed the process of getting new technologies into thenmarketplace," he said at the commission’s mHealth Summit. "New, streamlined experimentalnlicensing processes will also be created for universities and nonprofit research organizations."
