Equalize 2020: Symposium and pitch competition seeks to empower women innovators

A little over a year ago, Nichole Mercier, assistant vice chancellor and managing director of the Office of Technology Management (OTM) at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), got a call from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). The association wanted to nominate WashU's Women in Innovation & Technology (WIT) program for their "Innovations in Research and Research Education Award." Mercier was flat-tered and honored and put together a package for them to consider. In doing so, she reached out to women who had gone through the program.
