Q. Until recently, wasn't a watch something that had a long life-cycle and not something which people replaced very often? You are right. Till a few years back, the Indian watch market was a single-piece ownership market. To a great extent, Titan embarked on a mission to segment watch categories and consumers. We introduced to India, the idea that different watches could be worn for different occasions. It also stems out of the fact that Indians were becoming global citizens, and their new social life demanded them to dress differently, act differently when they are at a party as opposed to if they are at their workplace. We ensured that he/she could relate to the occasion and the range we offered. That's how Titan's loyal user base has evolved over the years.
