MEASURING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SIX SIGMA IMPLEMENTATION

This paper begins with a review of the literature on Six Sigma and its key factors. The importance of Six Sigma implementation and acceptance in an organization is explained and supported by a theoretical framework developed through an empirical study in a Taiwanese firm. We also present and analyze the results of a survey and draw conclusions based on these findings. Finally, the potential usefulness of the data in relation to upgrading business performance is discussed. The value of this paper lies in its observation that the Q x A = E model is a valuable tool for managing organizational situations and its confirmation of the transformational aspects of Six Sigma implementation.
