They have their origin in the biography of the author: It offers a practitioners' perspective in that the employees' point of view is a structural feature of the book. It takes a consultants' perspective in that the author gives a broad overview over many cases. It also takes an academics' perspective in that to the classic and current literature of the field are given. While the book does not attempt to be all things to everyone by blending these perspectives, readers who look for a very target-group specific content may be disappointed.
