摘要

Facing an increasing interest for integrating new functions into technical textiles, textile research is challenged with finding new methods of integrating additional features such as sensors into textile materials. As conventional textile production facilities are highly specialized, introducing new processes implicates additional investments. A new method has been developed for measuring strain and pressure which is based on electrically conductive stretchable yarns and can therefore easily be processed by standard textile machines. In the following, the measuring principle is explained and the function is demonstrated with examples.
