A UK-based specialist in technical textiles has invested £1 million to upgrade one of its coating plants. Wetherby-based Arville Textiles Ltd has spent two years reconfiguring the production area at the plant in Bury, UK, in order to promote a highly efficient workflow, as well as installing new machinery. The plant now has: 1. a dedicated area for compound mixing; 2. secure chemical storage areas; 3. new ventilation systems; 4. a high-speed vulcanizing oven; 5. inspection tables; 6. high-definition video cameras for in-line quality control.
