摘要

This program took a look at today's tech savvy students and the innovative technology they use for leisure, communication, and information, and how the library can become part of their world. The speakers presented both a macro and micro view of how we can use students' gadgets such as iPods, mp2s, PDAs, and cell phones to connect students and faculty with information.rnNancy Davenport, President of the Council on Library and Information Resources, opened the program with "Transforming the Scholarly Research Process for the Net Generation." She presented an excellent overview of current changes at academic institutions as campuses across the country find new ways to meet the needs of the "just me" generation.
