A NEW DISPERSANT FOR STABILIZATION OF SWNTs

A key challenge associated with nanostructures is their tendency to agglomerate. This cluster formation property demonstrated by nanomaterials prevents their optimal usage in applications. To address this challenge, researchers from the Department of Nuclear and Quantum Engineering Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Center for Neutron Research Gaithersburg, have proposed a new method for dispersing single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) in polymers.
