Frigoblock HD25 hybrid - the most powerful trailer refrigeration system with the lowest environmental impact

Centre stage on the Frigoblock exhibition stand and now in full production, is the world's first hybrid drive transport refrigeration machine powered by Frigoblock alternator drive from the truck engine and with an integrated Daimler-Benz common rail diesel motor. The SMART diesel engine developed by Daimler-Benz and integrated within the HD25 has already gained the Euro4 standard for car engines. A closed carbon-particulate filter system - with which the Frigoblock diesel will then gain the Euro5 exhaust standard - will follow in the autumn of 2008. However, the Frigoblock is already over 90% "cleaner" than standard refrigeration units that only comply with the Euro3 regulations applicable to industrial diesel engines.
