Kitchen base-cabinet floor fix

I am working on a low-budget kitchen remodel. The cabinet frames and doors are in good shape, but the carcases are made of flimsy particleboard. The bottoms of the base cabinets have been damaged by dripping sink traps and containers of household cleaning products.rnTo fix this, I tiled the bottoms of the cabinets with inexpensive 3x6 subway wall tiles. I covered the most severely damaged cabinet bottoms with 1/4-in.-thick tile backerboard. The others I simply roughed up with sandpaper before setting the tiles. No one will be walking on these tiles, so strength really isn't an issue.
