Assessing a carabid (Carabidae, Col.) population of the Puszeza Czluchowska Forest pine stands after 20 years

After 20 years the studies were repeated on carabid associations inhabiting various deve- lopmental stages of pine stands in the Puszcza Czluchowska Forest. Similarly as 20 years ago the pine stands were classified to those that grew on forest soils and others growing on former agricultural land. Fig. 1 presents the proportion of individuals belonging to autumnal species (white rectangles show the state from 20 years ago, while shaded ones - the present state.P2 to P10 - the developmental succession from young cultures to post-agriculture oldgrowths, L2 to L 105 - the developmental succession of pine stands growing on forest soils). Figures 2-4 show the proportion of individuals belonging to big zoophagous species (2 ), small zoophagous species (mz), and hemi-zoophagous species (hz). Figs. 6-8 show the proportion of individuals belonging to forest species (f), eurytopic species (e), and open field species (o). Figure 8 presents the proportion of individuals belonging to palearctic and holarctic species. Figure 9 shows the SBO of carabid associations.
