Istarted carrying one clipped inside my left rear trousers pocket where I could grab it with my left (support) hand if I were struggling for my weapon or otherwise had my right hand engaged. Because the T-handle is grasped in the fist with the blade protruding, those without a lot of close combat training can still do a lot of damage with a punch dagger just by, well, punching! The double-edged blade allows some effective slashing as well.rnThere is no need to worry about deploying the blade as with a folder when using a punch dagger. One just pulls it from the sheath and startsrnusing it. Let me make a comment here on pulling the punch dagger from the sheath. Normally, users deploy the blade between the middle and ring fingers, but I have also used it between the trigger and middle fingers. Whichever way one grabs it, it can be wielded effectively.
