Springfield Armory's: M21 Tactical, Mount And Scope

I've been advocating self-loading tactical rifles for the last few years because I see a lot of advantages and very few disadvantages, though I will admit that even the best self-loading rifles won't shoot with the best bolt guns. That becomes a real issue for longer ranges, and I still would choose a bolt-action rifle for .300 Win. Mag. or .338 Lapua. I also have to admit that my contacts with Russian special military and police units which have had to deal with very large hostage incidents that have required engagement of multiple tangos quickly to save lives have influenced my opinions. Nevertheless, I do feel that self-loading tactical rifles definitely have an urban application where ranges are unlikely to exceed 500 meters (actually rarely exceed 100 meters) or for military designated marksmen. As a result of my interest in this typernof rifle, I have been trying to test different self-loading rifle and scope combos to find the one I feel is optimal.
