Videothoracoscopic management of middle esophageal diverticulum with secondary bronchoesophageal fistula: Report of a case

Middle esophageal diverticulum is rare, but can result nin bronchoesophageal fi stula. Previous reports have ndescribed open surgical techniques to treat esophageal ndiverticula, but few have evaluated the effectiveness nof a videothoracoscopy approach. We report a case of nmiddle esophageal diverticulum associated with bron-nchoesophageal fi stula, managed successfully with video-nthoracoscopy. We also review the relevant literature.
