Large-scale PV plants: mega financing for megawatts

When financing takes place for PV plants in the MW range, investment sums can easily arrive at tens or even hundreds of millions. Even though the financing structures are similar in most markets, there exist important differences. Spain, for example, which is currently seen as the most important sales market for large-scale PV plants, differs significantly from the markets in Greece or Italy that exhibit relatively new and attractive incentive schemes. Investors usually meet the financing requirements with a combination of owner's equity and outside capital.
