Ralejs Tepfers' 80th birthday

Congratulations to Ralejs Tepfers, Emeritus Professor at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenborg, who celebrates his 80th birthday this year. Ralejs was born in Rezekne, Latvia, but moved to Sweden with his family in 1944. He completed a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology, Goteborg, in 1958, and after a brief period on construction sites in Sweden and Switzerland obtained the position of assistant in the Department of Building Technology at Chalmers University of Technology in 1960. Ralejs was appointed Professor of Building Technology at Chalmers in 1995, and Professor Emeritus on his retirement in 2001.
