摘要

In this study, the effects of geometry parameters and material properties on theoretical stress concentration factor for rectangular plates with centered circular opening subjected to uniform tension are investigated by use of finite element (FE) analysis. In the first part, the FE model is validated by comparison with the results of solution of analytical equations for infinite plates. This work demonstrates that the stress concentration factor depends on the length of the member and elasticity modules in both directions of the plate in addition to other established geometric parameters, like the opening radius. Two new concepts are introduced, namely the constancy ratio and conjunction ratio.
