Since 1998 the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork honours outstanding scientists with the "Charles Massonnet Award" for their contribution to the advancement of scientific and technical support to constructional steelwork. The winner of the Charles Massonnet Award 2013 is Univ.-Prof. em. Dr.-lng. Joachim Lindner (Germany) in recognition of his impressive lifetime achievement.
