Boulder May Propose Muni Broadband Network; Wary of Industry Opposition

Boulder took a first step toward becoming the latest city in Colorado to try to create its ownnbroadband network despite a restrictive state law. City officials said the proposal may run into whatnthey called the same monied opposition from the telecom industry that a proposal in the neighboringncommunity of Longmont encountered in 2009 and 2011.
