SpaceX takes NASA to Mars!

Sixteen months of negotiation, which has taken place behind closed doors, reached a satisfactory conclusion on 28 April when Phil McAlister, NASA's director of commercial space flight development at NASA headquarters, signed off on a deal which begins a partnership for Mars exploration which could, just conceivably, see a joint endeavour to land humans on the Red Planet.
