Swedish Firm Tapped for Nanosatellite Components

AAC Microtec of Sweden will provide plug-and-play avionics to the University of Tokyo as part of the university's nanosatellite research program under a contract, Uppsala-based AAC Microtec announced June 1. Formed in 2005 as a spinoff from Uppsala University's Angstrom Laboratory, AAC Microtec has developed remote terminal units and distributed power control units designed to permit satellite builders to integrate their hardware less expensively and more quickly.
