Saudi Telecom Firm Inks Capacity Deal with SES

Icces, a Saudi Arabia-based telecommunications company, has signed a "major capacity deal" with satellite operator SES to provide services in the Middle East and North Africa, SES of Luxembourg said in a Feb. 27 press release. The long-term agreement calls for SES to provide Ku-band capacity aboard its recently launched SES-4 satellite to provide very small aperture terminal, or VSAT, services in countries including Saudi Arabia, Libya and Tunisia. Customers include consumers, universities, government agencies, companies and maritime users, the press release said. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
