Eutelsat Raises Profit Projections; Plans New Satellites

Satellite-fleet operator Eutelsat Communications raised its revenue forecasts through 2009 and said it would increase spending on new satellites this year to seize a specific - and undisclosed -growth opportunity. Paris-based Eutelsat now expects to increase revenue for the year ending June 30, 2006, by 2.5 percent, compared to a 2-percent increase previously forecast. Average annual growth between 2007 and 2009 will be 4.5 percent, compared to earlier forecasts of 4 percent.
