Northrop Grumman, Others Cite Strong Fourth Quarters in 2005

Sales for fourth-quarter 2005 for Los Angeles-based Northrop Grumman's Space Technology segment increased 1 percent from the same time period in 2004, as the unit brought in $815 million in space sales. The quarter's strong results in space technology can be attributed to higher sales in civil space, as well as in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, Wes Bush, the company's chief financial officer, said during a Nov. 24 conference call with analysts. Civil space sales increased 9 percent from the previous year's fourth quarter.
