Nobel Prize Money Will Endow Astronomy Center

Astrophysicist George Smoot, who shared the 2006 Nobel Prize for Physics with NASA's John Mather for their ground- breaking discoveries using the Cosmic Background Explorer spacecraft, has used his winnings to endow the newly established Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics.
