Astrium Space Revenue Increases 25.5 Percent

The Astrium space division of Europe's EADS aerospace conglomerate reported double-digit revenue and pretax profit increases for the nine months ending Sept. 30, with both being propelled by the Astrium Services division, EADS announced Nov.14. The Astrium Services division, which manages the multi-year telecommunications contract with the British Defence Ministry, accounted for 22 percent of Astrium's total revenue for the nine-month period, compared to 15 percent of Astrium's business in 2007.
