摘要

Combustion experiments in short-term microgravity facilities are characterized by removing the gravitational influences on the combustion mechanisms and are favored because of the short characteristics times in combustion phenomena. The development and application of laser diagnostic techniques to combustion experiments under micro- gravity is discussed under consideration of typical constrains. A survey of laser based combustion diagnostics is given and selected experiments performed in parabolic flights and stationary short-term microgravity facilities are discussed.
