Prediction of Consequences of High-velocity Collisions of Meteoritic Particles with Elements of Spacecraft Protection Constructions

A method for computing the effect of the impact of high-velocity meteoritic particles with the elements of spacecraft shields is proposed. Based on this method, in a wide range of values of the impact velocity, the pro- cess of collision of a meteoritic particle with a sandwich of two screens is studied. Comparison of the computer simulation data with results of a specially designed experiment is carried out.
