In fact, the major obstacles in the NKU project were often less technical in nature, and more a matter of coordination. Many AV and IT manufacturers do not fully understand the challenges of integrating into existing IT infrastructures, and do not provide the necessary information for that integration up front. The information is available, but often it takes far more hours of understanding what the client's IT group needs, and then prying the information out of manufacturers than most integrators allow for.
