ACOUSTICAL ARCHITECTURE or ARCHITECTURAL ACOUSTICS

Whether you refer to it as acoustical architecture or architectural acoustics, the fact is that architecture and acoustics are both required for a successful design. The architectural aspect addresses form, function, ergonomics, finishes, color and all of the other aspects required to satisfy the visual concept. Our thesis here is that architects should expand this visual concept to include an aural concept; i.e., architects should design with their ears as well as their eyes.
