CALCULATION OF THE NET CALORIFIC VALUE OF OIL SHALES UPON COMBUSTION WITH ADDITION OF LIQUID FUEL

摘要

In order to determine the net heat of combustion (calorific value) of combustible (oil) shales, they were thoroughly mixed in a crucible with jet fuel (JF). After explosion of the bomb the heat of jet fuel added was subtracted from the total amount of heat. The results obtained were close to a true value.
