THE Army is facing an age of transformation as significant as the era when motor vehicles replaced horses a century ago, the Chief of the General Staff has said. Speaking at the Defence, Security and Equipment International (DSEI) show in London, Gen Sir Mark Carleton-Smith explained that the world was in an era similar to the interwar period, when new tech and ways of thinking were altering the nature of conflict.
