Johnson Controls Puts 73 Identical Systems on Utah Schools

When Johnson Controls Inc. contracted to design and install 5.3-kilowatt arrays on 73 public schools across 41 school districts in Utah, one challenge was logistics: How to visit that many rooftops in any reasonable time frame? The solution, said Bruce Munson, local account executive for Johnson Controls, was to partner with a local installer, Intermountain Wind & Solar. Intermountain hired six additional crew members and put nine people on the project, in three crews. Each crew could put up three systems in a six-day work week.
