Lately, climate related news has not been too positive. Instead, it has been rather distressing with the latest IPCC findings, continuous pushback against renewables, and melting ice caps. We want to remind you that action is the best way to create positive change and instill hope. We are seeing this as more people, organizations, and governments wake up to climate change and act, rather than deny. Across our nation there has been legislative action and increased renewable energy installments. Maine, for example, passed multiple bills that establish an offshore wind project, clean energy job training, and increased electrification efforts (https:// bit.ly/2lSoYxZ). The states of Florida, Washington, and Rhode Island saw substantial increases in the solar markets from 2018 to 2019 (https://bit. ly/2WOZsmU). But, it is not just state governments and their economies that express the success of solar. Fortune 500 companies Target and Walmart have declared their commitment to becoming 100% renewably powered as well (https://bit.ly/2XOwe46).
