摘要

A straightforward, eco-friendly and energy proficient method has been established for the chemoselective acylation and formylation reactions of amines using inexpensive and biodegradable choline chloride in an aqueous medium via concentrated solar radiations (CSR) and traditional heating method. When compared with conventional methods, the CSR method is found to be superior in terms of reaction time and total energy requirements (88-92% energy is saved). This protocol is amine-selective and can tolerate other functional groups and is also applicable for gram scale synthesis. The noted features of this method include metal and oxidant free green approach, use of innocuous reagents, remarkable yields, broad substrate scope, reuse of catalyst and solvent and use of renewable source of energy.
