In construction practice, the procedure of injecting gel-forming grout into soil after its pretreatment is currently used primarily for the urea-resin stabilization of sandy soils where hydrochloric and oxalic acids are mainly used as hardeners. The Scientific-Research Institute of Foundations and Underground Structures has developed new formulas based on urea resin and the following complex hardeners: Fe_2(SO_4)_3 + Al_2(SO_4)_3 and FeCl_3 + Al_2(SO_4)_3. Formula I with a hardener consisting of a mixture of an aqueous solution of iron sulfate and aluminum sulfate.
