1. Basic problems involving the design of anti-karst protection are associated with analysis of components subject to formation of karst-induced collapse. Here, a large number of problems always arise during modeling of the bed. The simplest solution is to simulate a karst-induced collapse beneath the lower surface of a foundation in conformity with its predicted dimensions and a model of the variable coefficient of subgrade reaction. 2. An investigation is conducted to determine the coefficient of subgrade reaction of a bed subject to the formation of a karst-induced collapse, and numerical and analytical solutions are obtained for strip and slab foundations. Use of these results is also recommended for combined analysis of foundations together with their superstructures by numerical modeling.
