LEVEL-ADJUSTABLE FOUNDATIONS FOR MONOLITHIC REINFORCED-CONCRETE BUILDINGS

Practical experience gained with use of adjustable foundations, which permit strengthening and cut-off of the foundation from the building in the basement section, and elimination of nonuniform settlements, is cited.rnA method of raising and leveling buildings [1-3], which permits this type of work without resettlement of the tenants, comes well recommended for elimination of nonuniform deformations over and above values allowed by standards for the soil beds of in-service buildings. In a number of cases (pile foundations, bed reclamation), the method in question is unique, and makes it possible to reestablish the design position of the building in space [4].
